Pastor Bob Singleton Sr January 26, 2012 03:4611 (pastor@mckelveybaptist.org) As I see it As we usher in a new year,,we must remember we can not change our past,,it's over and gone,,but we can control our future..... Also we can not allow satan to remind us of our past,,which he will try and do on occasion, he loves to see you upset and doubting yourself,,,You must remind him of his future and yours....When the devil knocks, just say "JESUS Answer That For Me" We all have a brand New Year ahead of us,,,,,if you do NOT have JESUS in your heart, You should seek to find the LORD,,when you have HIM, then you can have the best year ever,,, Remember if your not happy with the LORD, the devil will always take you back,,,, If you have the LORD in your heart and HE is NOT number ONE in your life,,work on it,,before your feet hit the floor in the morning,,Thank HIM for a New Day and ask HIS guidance in how HE would want you to handle it and to please be with you through out the day,,also be sure at night when you crawl back in that warm cozy bed,,,you thank HIM for being with you all day and guiding your footsteps,, Everyone of us is going to have Mountains in our lives and Valleys and we determine a lot of the out come,,,if we don't pray we are letting GOD know we prefer HE not get involved in that part of our life,,,so HE steps back to see how well we can handle it and waits on our plea for help (after we find out we can't go it alone),,,,,, Let's ALL try something new this year,,, ,How many of us think to Thank the LORD when we receive our checks,,,no matter from where we got those checks,,but thank HIM and ask HIM to guide us with the use of that money,,,,,, ,before we do anything,,our grocery shopping our trips to Wally World, in buying anything a car,washer what ever ask for HIS help,,,HE will show you trust me,,but we must wait for Him,,,,, Whether we are looking for new friends,a new home,a new pet,,, etc take it to the LORD in prayer first,,,,,I am sure by the end of a month we will be seeing a great change in our lives and by the time 2013 rolls around,,we will be standing up praising the LORD and letting the world know what HE has done for us,, And while we're at it let's go all out,,,let's try to find the Good in every person and every situation that we come in contact with,,a long line in the stores gives us an opportunity to talk to people,,a traffic jam,,talk to the LORD,,,no matter what is happening there is a reason embrace it and ask GODS leadership' When you meet someone find at least one thing to compliment them about,,, I believe if we all try this we are self's will be truly uplifted and not even the devil could tear us down But that's just how I see it...
